ABOUT ME

My name is Desmond Dennis. I am a retired family doctor. I spent most of my working life in North Wales, practising in the seaside town of Portmere.

I loved my job and liked almost all of my patients. It has been pointed out that this has not always been apparent and I have to acknowledge that, at times, I could seem disinterested, irritable and impatient.

I enjoyed teaching medical students more than any other aspect of my work. I believe that they kept me on my toes and made me feel younger and more enthusiastic. The students always seemed to make my patients feel better too.

Although I have now retired, I still maintain a healthy interest in Medicine and medical education.

I am happily married to Daphne, a nurse. Our children are now grown up and life is much quieter than it used to be.
